Annual Picnic – Sunday, Sept. 16 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
ANNUAL MESA PICNIC This event brings together all Mesa residents in a celebration of neighborhood and life on the Mesa. Everyone brings a side dish to share and the Mesa Board provides the main meat dish and beverages, paper products and rents tables and chairs using volunteer dues. A DJ plays music and all are invited to participate in activities that have included visiting booths with representatives from agencies such as BLM and FireWise. When available, you will be able to climb aboard a real fire truck or police car. Clowns face paint and create balloon animals; jousting in the blow-up joust ring; or hoping your ticket number is called during the door prize give-away are ways to enjoy the event. Neighbors meet neighbors they have not met, families plan get-togethers and play dates with newly made friends and all enjoy a lovely afternoon in the fall, Idaho sun.
HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED Join the volunteer planning committee to help plan this most important neighborhood event and see that it gets carried out smoothly and successfully. Let the coordinator Debbie Arnhols at firstname.lastname@example.org know if you can help during the picnic or with set-up or clean-up. Save the date and prepare your dish to share.
